FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you move furniture when cleaning carpet?

We will move most items that can safely be moved while cleaning and place styrofoam blocks or plastic tabs underneath so the carpet can dry properly. This includes sofas, tables, chairs, nightstands and some beds. We typically don't move pianos, china hutches, TV stands or beds with a headboard or footboard attached. We ask that you clear off any breakable items from anything you want moved.

What method of carpet cleaning do you use?

We most commonly use the hot water extraction method also known as steam cleaning. This is the method preferred by major carpet manufacturers.

How long will my carpets take to dry?

Typically your carpet will be dry in 4-6 hours. It can in some cases take 12-24 hours to dry depending on certain factors in your home.

I've heard that most carpet cleaners leave residue which causes faster re-soiling, is that true?

There are many companies that run a detergent through their equipment which would contribute to faster re-soiling. Rug doctors and home cleaning machines also leave detergent in the carpet. We pretreat your carpet first and rinse with softened hot water which won't leave any residue behind.
